KASABAY sa pagdiriwang ng ika-67 taong kaarawan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., pinangunahan ng pamunuan ng Kamara ang sabayang pagsasagawa sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng bansa ng “Handog ng Pangulo” kung saan aabot sa 287,000 beneficiaries ang nakatanggap ng tulong-pinansyal.
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, ang cash aid distribution ay regalo ni Pangulong Marcos at katuparan sa hangarin i-angat ang kabuhayan ng mga mamamayan sa ilalim ng programa ng administrasyon na “Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.”
“President Bongbong Marcos’ deepest desire is to serve and help every Filipino, ensuring that government support reaches those who need it most,” wika ng pinuno ng Kamara.
“On his 67th birthday, the simultaneous distribution of assistance to 287,000 beneficiaries across the country once again proves that ‘Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat’ is not just a vision, but a reality,” dugtong niya.
Nabatid kay House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada Jr. na nasa 287 distrito ang tinumbok ng “Handog ng Pangulo” event kung saan 1,000 residente sa bawat congressional districts ang binigyan ng tig-P5,000 cash assistance sa ilalim ng Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Dagdag pa ni Gabonada, sa nationwide AKAP payout na isinagawa, aabot sa kabuuang P1.5 bilyon ang ipinamahagi sa mga nabibilang sa tinaguriang ‘vulnerable sectors of society’.
Sinabi rin ng ranking House official na sinimulan ang “Handog ng Pangulo” event sa pamamagitan ng pre-program activities na inihanda ng mga mambabatas sa bawat distrito na sinundan naman ng live Zoom broadcast tampok mismo ang birthday celebrant na si Presidente Marcos.
“This seamless coordination ensured Filipinos from every corner of the country could witness and feel the impact of the nationwide initiative in celebration of the President’s birth anniversary,” ayon pa kay Gabonada.
“This event showcases the power of unity and reflects the government’s unwavering dedication to serving the Filipino people. Under President Marcos’ leadership, we will continue to work toward providing genuine support and services that benefit all Filipinos, ensuring no one is left behind,” pagtatapos ni Romualdez.
