MARIING pinabulaanan ng Office of the Speaker ang kumakalat na balitang isinugod di umano ang lider ng Kamara matapos ma-stroke.
Ayon sa tanggapan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez, fake news ang naturang impormasyong naglalayon umanong maghasik ng kalituhan sa publiko.
“These allegations are completely untrue and are clearly designed to mislead the public and sow confusion,” pahayag ni Atty. Lemuel Erwin Romero na tumatayong head executive assistant ng tanggapan ni Romualdez.
“Speaker Romualdez is in excellent health and continues to perform his duties with dedication and focus,” dagdag pa ni Romero.
Katunayan aniya, kabi-kabila ang aktibidad ng lider ng Kamara, kabilang ang pagdalo sa mga pulong at sa pangangasiwa ng mga programang naglalayong maghatid ng serbisyo direkta sa mga tao.
Paglalahad pa ni Romero, noong umaga ng Biyernes, nasa Palasyo aniya si Romualdez para sa paglagda ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ng dalawang bagong batas — ang Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act at ang Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act.
Nakasama ni Speaker Romualdez sa naturang aktibidad ang ilang ranking officials ng Kamara at Senado.
“The event was widely covered by the media, underscoring his active role in advancing these legislative measures,” aniya pa.
Dumalo rin ang lider ng Kamara sa year-end celebration at thanksgiving ng League of Provinces of the Philippines – kasama ang Pangulo, ilang senador at mga punong lalawigan.
“We urge everyone to rely only on verified and official sources of information and to reject disinformation that seeks to undermine trust in our leaders and institutions,” pagtatapos ni Romero. (Romeo Allan Butuyan II)
