WALANG magaganap na pagtaas sa presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin sa merkado, garantiya ni Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque sa isang press briefing sa Palasyo.
Ani Aldegeur-Roque, nakakasiguro ang mga mamimili para sa nalalapit na kapaskuhan na walang paggalaw sa bentahan ng mga tinawag niyang “prime commodities” hanggang sa pagtatapos ng 2024.
“First and foremost, for the prices for basic necessities, no price increase until the end of the year,” pahayag ni Aldeguer-Roque.
Gayunpaman, inamin ng Kalihim na nasa kalahati lang ng mga produktong pasok sa Noche Buena items ang nagtaas na ng presyo.
“And then for the Noche Buena, more than 50 percent, the price will remain the same as last year. And yung mga iba, they just increased but less than five percent,” dagdag ng DTI chief.
Anang Kalihim, hindi maiiwasan ang kaunting taas presyo upang mabawi ng mga negosyante ang puhunan, lalo na sa mga imported na produkto.
“Actually, there has been no price increase since last year. So, of course, prices — some imported products have already increased. So, they decided to request if they could increase,” paliwanag pa ng opisyal.
“So that at least, kahit paano, our consumers will have, of course, a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. And not too much of an increase also.”
