SA kabila ng posisyon ng Pangulo, itinuloy pa rin ang paghahain ng impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay dating Senador Leila De Lima na tumatayong tagapagsalita ng grupo, tumayong complainant sa impeachment laban sa pangalawang pangulo ang mga civil society groups, dating mga opisyal ng pamahalaan, lider ng iba’t ibang religious groups at mga personalidad na kumakatawan sa iba’t-ibang sektor ng lipunan.
Kabilang sa mga lumagda sa impeachment complaint sina sina dating Presidential Adviser on Peace Process Secretary Teresita Deles, Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, Fr. Robert Reyes, Francis Aquino Dee, Leah Navarro, Sylvia Estrada Claudio, Alicia Murphy, Sr. Mary Grace De Guzman, at dating Magdalo partylist Rep. Gary Alejano.
Sa ilalim ng impeachment complaint, partikular na inakusahan ng grupo si VP Sara ng paglabag sa 1987 Constitution, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of public trust, at iba pang krimen.
Si Akbayan Rep. Percival Cendaña ang nag-endorso ng reklamo na inihain kay House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
“Akbayan joins this fight. We cannot allow public office to be weaponized for corruption, violence, and betrayal of trust. The Filipino people deserve leaders who serve with integrity, not rulers who exploit power for personal gain,” wika ng Akbayan Rep. Percival Cendaña na nag-endorso ng impeachment complaint sa Kamara.
“Public office is not a throne of privilege; it is a position of trust. Sara Duterte has desecrated that trust with her blatant abuses of power. This impeachment is not just a legal battle but a moral crusade to restore dignity and decency to public service,” pahayag naman ni De Lima.
Pasok din sa reklamo ang umano’y paglustay ng P125 milyong confidential funds na ginastos sa loob lang ng 11 araw noong Disyembre 2022 at ang mga ginastos na confidential funds noong 2023.
Kabilang naman sa mga ebidensyang kalakip ng reklamo ang resulta ng pagsusuri ng Commission on Audit (COA).
