ALINSUNOD sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., inasikaso ng pamunuan ng Kamara ang nasa 2,000 pamilyang nawalan ng tahanan bunsod ng sunog na naganap sa Tondo, Maynila.
Hatid ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez, katuwang ang Tingog partylist sa mga nasunugan – tig-P10,000 cash assistance sa ilalim ng Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Sa kabuuan umabot sa P20 milyon ang ipinamahaging tulong ng gobyerno.
“We facilitated the immediate release of P20 million for the families affected by the Tondo fire, following President Marcos’ directive. This financial aid through the help of DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian, along with our ongoing relief efforts, will provide these families with the resources they need to rebuild their lives,” wika ni Romualdez.
Bukod sa tulong pinansyal, hinatiran din ng Office of the Speaker at ni Tingog partylist Rep. Yedda K. Romualdez, at Rep. Jude Acidre ng “hot meals” ang mga nasunugan. Inaasahan naman dadalhin ngayong araw ang relief goods sa mga biktima.
“We have also mobilized our personal calamity funds to ensure that these families not only receive financial support but also have access to food and other essential items,” dagdag ni Speaker Romualdez.
Sa kaugnay na balita, nagpalugaw naman sa mga pamilyang pansamantalang nanunuluyan sa Vicente Lim evacuation center si Manila 1st District Rep. Ernesto Dionisio Jr. sa pakikipag-ugnayan kay House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada Jr..
Nagpaabot naman si Dioniso ng pasasalamat kina Pangulong Marcos, Speaker Romualdez at DSWD Secretary Gatchalian sa mabilis na pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga nasunugan.
“On behalf of the people of Tondo, I sincerely thank President Marcos, Speaker Romualdez, and Secretary Gatchalian for their unwavering support and quick action in addressing the needs of our fire-affected residents. Their leadership and compassion have been vital in helping the community recover from this tragic incident,” pahayag pa ni Dionisio.
Umaasa si Gabonada na mabilis na makababangon ang mga biktima ng sunog.
