TINANGGAL ni Pope Francis ang isang pari mula sa Borongan, Eastern Samar dahil sa alegasyon ng child sexual abuse, ayon sa Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
Kinilala ang akusadong pari na si Pio Aclon, dating nakatalaga sa Borongan.
Dati nang suspendido si Aclon sa clerical duties habang iniimbestigahan.
Ang desisyon ng Santo Papa ay inihayag ngayong Linggo ng Diocese of Borongan sa pamamagitan ng official statement na tinawag na “Informationis Causa.”
Pirmado ang dokumento ni Chancellor Fr. James Abella at may petsang July 18.
“Notice is hereby given that the Holy Father Pope Francis has dismissed from the clerical state Pio Cultura Aclon of the Diocese of Borongan,” ayon sa diocese.
“He [Aclon] is, therefore, no longer a cleric and cannot exercise priestly ministry in the Church,” ayon pa sa pahayag.
Inihayag ang desisyon sa lahat ng parish churches, chaplaincies at chapels sa Diocese of Borongan.
Hindi naman sinabi ang buong detalye at alegasyon laban sa pari.
