MAGKAKATUWANG na nagpaabot siina Speaker Martin Romualdez, TINGOG partylist at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng mga kaukulang tulong, partikular ang nasa P100 million na kabuuang halaga ng cash assistance at P25 million naman ng reliefs goods sa mga pamilyang apektado sa hagupit ng bagyong Julian.
Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, ang hakbang nilang ito ay alinsunod na rin sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. kung saan agad na nahatiran ng nasabing relief efforts ang mga residente ng nasa 10 congress districts.
“We are ensuring that each affected district receives the support it needs to recover from this calamity. Hindi pababayaan ng administrasyon ni PBBM ang ating mga kababayan na nasalanta ng bagyong Julian,” ang pahayag pa ni Speaker Romualdez, na kasama sa pagtutok na maibsan ang hirap ng mga residenteng apektado ng kalamidad sina TINGOG party-list Reps. Yedda K. Romualdez, kanyang maybahay at Jude Acidre, gayundin si Social Welfare Sec. Rex Gatchalian.
“Through AKAP (Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program), we aim to provide immediate cash assistance to help families get back on their feet,” dagdag ng lider ng kung saan tig-P10 million na pondo ng naturang pangunahing programa ng Marcos administration ang ibibigay sa nasabing sampung distrito.
“Ang focus natin: no one should be left behind. Ito ang kampanya ng Bagong Pilipinas ng ating Pangulo. We are making sure that the needs of our people are met,” pagtitiyak ni Romualdez.
Sa panig ni Rep. Yedda Romualdez, binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan sa harap ng mga nararanasang kalamidad.
“Sa mga ganitong pagsubok, kailangan natin ng pagtutulungan. We must work together to overcome these challenges and ensure that our people receive the help they need,” paggigiit pa niya.
Sinegundahan naman ito ni Acidre at sinabing “together, in unity, we will rise from this tragedy, and we will rebuild stronger and better.”
Pinuri at pinasalamatan ni Romualdez ang pagsisikap na ito ng TINGOG partylist at sinabing “we have mobilized resources to deliver these relief packs as fast as we can. We understand the urgency of the situation and are working closely with local authorities to ensure that every family affected by Typhoon Julian receives help.”
Nabatid naman kay House Deputy Secretary-General Sofonias “Ponyong” P. Gabonada Jr. na sa kanilang nakalap na impormasyon, ang mga distritong labis na nasalanta ay ang nasakupan nina Batanes Rep. Ciriaco Gato, Cagayan Rep. Ramon Nolasco, Cagayan Rep. Aline Vargas-Alfonso, Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, Ilocos Norte Rep. Angelo Barba, Kalinga Rep. Allen Mangaoang, Apayao Rep. Eleanor Bulut-Begtang, Abra Rep. Ching Bernos, Ilocos Sur Rep. Ronald Singson, at Cagayan Rep. Jojo Lara.
Dagdag ni Gabonada, bukod sa cash assistance, ang mga opisina nina Speaker Romualdez at ng TINGOG Partylist ay nakapaghanda ng 5,000 relief packs para sa bawat congressional district.
“These relief packs are being readied for delivery and distribution to affected families in coordination with the congressional districts to ensure that aid reaches those in need as quickly as possible,” sabi pa ng House official.
