SA pangunguna mismo ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, nagpaabot ng malugod na pagbati, lubos na papuri at pasasalamat ang Kamara sa malaking tagumpay na naitala ng Gilas Pilipinas men’s basketball team matapos ang makasaysayan pagsungkit nito ng gintong medalya sa idinaraos na 19th Asian Games sa Hangzhou, China.
“With immense pride and joy, we stand united with the entire Filipino nation in celebrating this historic moment. Gilas Pilipinas has accomplished something truly extraordinary, securing our country’s first Asian Games basketball gold medal in 61 years, leaving an indelible mark in the annals of sports history,” bungad na pahayag ng lider ng 300-plus strong House of Representatives.

Bukod sa mga manlalaro, pinapurihan at nagpasalamat din ang House Speaker sa coaches at buong staff ng koponan dahil sa malaking papel din na ginampanan ng mga ito para makamit ang tagumpay.
“You have made our country proud, and your victory will serve as an enduring inspiration for generations of Filipino athletes striving for excellence,” sabi pa ni Romualdez.
Sa panig ni Deputy Speaker at CIBAC Rep. Bro. Eddie Villanueva, sinabi niyang ang panalo na ito ng Gilas Pilipinas ay hindi lamang nagbigay ng panibagong karangalan sa sports history ng bansa.
“The stunning victory of Gilas Pilipinas is not only an additional accolade in our national sports histroy. It also gives us in such as time as this a needed inspiration and sense of confidence that we can emerge victorious amidst all challenges and hardships that we are braving now as a nation,” pahayag pa ni Villanueva.
